Automatic top-up

Automatic top-up ensures that credit never runs out. Kanbu tops up credit on its own when the balance drops below the threshold you set. A monthly limit also lets you cap maximum spending.

How to do it

  1. In the bottom left corner of the app, click your name and email and select Payments.
  2. In the Automatic credit top-up settings section, turn on the Enable automatic renewal toggle.
  3. In the form, set:
    • Lower threshold — at what balance credit should be automatically topped up.
    • Top-up amount — by how much credit should be increased.
    • Monthly limit (optional) — upper cap on how much can be automatically topped up in total per month.
  4. Confirm by clicking Save automatic top-up settings.

Automatic top-up needs a saved payment card — without one, turning the toggle on has no effect. If you pay by invoice (bank transfer), you have no saved card, so automatic top-up won't apply to you; top up credit manually instead.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the monthly limit for?

It is the upper cap on the total amount Kanbu is allowed to automatically top up per month. It protects you from unexpectedly high spending.

  • What happens when I reach the monthly limit?

Automatic top-up stops until the end of the period. If credit runs out in the meantime, the chatbot stops responding — see What happens when credit runs out. You can then top up credit manually.
